Internal space

Learners first compare the negative spaces inside repeated forms. The goal is to recognise whether inconsistent rhythm begins inside the letters themselves.

Between-letter spacing

Pairs are chosen because they create different visual gaps. Exercises ask learners to adjust by eye rather than forcing identical measured distances.

Short word analysis

Words are printed with one spacing problem hidden among otherwise stable forms. Learners mark the problem before rewriting the word.

Baseline and slant rhythm

Spacing can look unstable even when the gap itself is reasonable. Later tasks therefore compare baseline drift and inconsistent slant as possible causes.

Small composition

A short phrase is arranged within a fixed paper size. Learners decide margins, line breaks and scale while keeping the focus on legibility and rhythm rather than decoration.
